BIO: DutchMassive ((Recording Artist/Producer/Super
Fan)) His birth name is Dutch.
What's the Massive stand for?... DutchMassive, bragging entrance
into the world from Tampa, FL is 1/3 of the Uber famous Equilibrium
(Majik Most, DutchMassive, Celph Titled, and veteran DJ - Kramtronix).
The Group released two official records in late 1998 on Celph Titled's
Label, Atomik Music. The first single was A 3-song 12" consisting
of the Tampa anthem "Fahrenheit 813", the conscious "Critical Conditions"
which featured then-EMI recording artist Vex of the Boogiemonsters,
and the highly controversial "Windows 98" which sampled the Windows
'95 start-up music. The second single, A two song 12" Consisting
of "Do That" (also Featured in the motion picture "The Kingston
High") b/w "Hold Something" was a instant underground banger. While
the 12" only featured Celph and Dutch trading verses this time around,
it would not mean the end of the already established Equilibrium.
Between the years 1995 - 1998, The 3 emcee's crafted together what
would have been one of the most innovative Lp's in its time, with
only a few indy groups making noise. The time was set to release
the classic Lp "Tropic States"... but all things happen for a reason.
Celph Titled would soon move to NY, NY to work for Buds Distribution.
Making connections he could not possible have met in Tampa. He began
to network and build his name very quickly. 12" after 12" (Produced
by Celph Titled) - (Featuring Celph Titled). Good things were set
in motion, but before Celph Left for NY he told Dutch "Your going
to have to learn to do things on your own now." Very ambitious,
and with the extreme respect he had for Celph he wasted no time
at all. Building with producers ranging from NY to ATL all the way
to Cali. In Late 1997 Dutch recorded his 1st solo track "Bus Stop
building Block" produced by California based Producer "Deeskee"
who would end up producing half of the "JunkPlanet" album; An Album
that took nearly 5 years to finally surface. Over those 5 years,
Dutch has rerecorded, switched beats, had Celph re-mix down almost
70% of the record to make sure it was worth its 5 year wait. Dutch
made sure from beginning to end every pause, interlude transition
flowed together to make his debut solo album as classic as his all
time favorite "Midnight Marauders". With production from (Celph
Titled, Deeskee, J.Rawls (Lone Catalysts), J.J. Brown, Ayentee,
Benefit & DutchMassive) and guest spots from (Pack Fm, J.J. Brown,
Apathy, Vast Aire, Wind-N-Breez, Alaska, Cryptic, Majik Most, Louis
Logic, Celph Titled, C- Rayz Walz) he is confident this dated LP,
will still be up to par with the albums which are being released
in 2004. Dutch has since took a hiatus from emceeing in 2002 when
the "Junk Planet" LP was completed to focus on what he loves to
do best, production. Bragging a 4-year homework assignment of long
hours digging and editing samples, Dutch has begun to piece together
what he is all about... THEM BEATS... But do not fear. He had been
working on his next Double LP titled "Crush Your System" / "Music
2 Sleep To..." which will debut his Hi-tek Boom-BAP -Surround Sound
Static sleep Production...and Verses that are as current as his
place on the Freshchest Roster.
